Equitable Education

A strong public education system is critical to fostering a thriving society and is the key to success in our highly competitive 21st century economy. Minnesota has an achievement gap that is one of the worst in the nation. Our kids deserve better, and education is a key facet to lifting low-income children out of poverty.

We need to fight for universal pre-k and childcare services, and free and debt-free public higher education, so that all students and families have equitable access to educational opportunities throughout their life.

We must prevent and treat childhood trauma to make sure that every child has access to the social support and mental health resources they need to live healthy lives. We also need to ensure that educators are supported and empowered in their professional settings.

An investment in our students is an investment in our shared future.
