Gun violence is a public health crisis. As our families and our communities deal with terrible daily tragedies, we must vow to end this cycle of gun violence. No one should fear being shot in their homes, at schools, houses of worship, grocery stores, and in their neighborhoods. We must work to prevent daily death-by-guns that claim more lives every year.
We must enact common sense gun reform policies that aim to break the epidemic of gun violence and save lives. We must enact red flag laws and background checks for purchases of guns, ban ghost guns and curtail gun trafficking. We must also prohibit switches that convert guns to automatic weapons.
