We have seen firsthand the devastation and loss of life caused by the opioid crisis and addiction. Greater focus on harm reduction methods to save lives and to help people with addiction is something that we need to integrate into community health measures.
We need to end the crisis by supporting a comprehensive and effective statewide effort to address the opioid addiction and opioid overdose epidemic. This will include education, prevention, effective interventions, treatment, and services for individuals and families experiencing and affected by opioid use disorder.
